Modular BlockDemonstrative Case

River Bank Protection, Taichung, Taiwan.

The original concrete embankment was collapsed due to the heavy rain. The soil of the bank was washed into the river. The hidden life threatening flood due to the silt up by the washed soil was becoming a big problem; therefore, the rebuild of embankment is a must. To protect the lives of the residence and for beatification of the environment, modular blocks were used to rebuild the structure. Modular blocks were filled with in situ soil and were vegetated. The blended artificial structure with nature is now stable and a recreational place for the residence.
